Hi Andrew Koppelman I suppose to my mind you’re echoing the kind of things Guardianista Nick Cohen says over this side of the pond — the Remainer, anti-Brexit class who focus on the dangers of Trump, the need to get back into Europe etc — whilst ignoring the fact that the continent is imploding before our eyes. No energy, no military, no capacity to sort out even Bosnia in the 1990s let alone Ukraine, clearly vulnerable to Iranian ballistic missiles with now proven 2000 mile range — and millions and millions of migrants destroying the high trust societies that used to define Europeans (frequently when condescendingly compared to the chaos of urban America)

Nick of course is a bit of a weasel and can’t cope with having his little bubble disrupted. He automatically blocks alternative views. This is the kind of liberalism that you’re defending.

Of course if Nick is not enough and you need something a little more profoundly liberal, how about Rory Stewart — a man who, whilst pontificating about the ‘manosphere’ concedes thoughtfully that men and women might be a little bit different, ‘perhaps’ — before railing against any reflection on the role of Muslims in British society as ‘simply racism’ that is hurting Britain. Man of the people he is most certainly not, but you have to be extraordinarily bad at reading the room to condescend to the great unwashed in this way — the same week that ‘a man’ tried to kill dozens of people in Derby with his car. But then, perhaps Rory didn’t realize that ‘the man’ in question was Indian or Muslim because the liberal press went to such great lengths to obscure this detail.

But just take the time to look at these videos — just from the last week.

Force yourself to watch them. Go on! I really do double-dare you. Just a few minutes of your time. You will learn more about what is likely to transpire in Europe over the next ten years than by attending any number of university soirees.

Millions of people are experiencing this rapid and unprecedented deterioration on their quality of life and an all-pervading sense of physical insecurity. The frogs have noticed the water is beginning to boil, and the ones you call populists are jumping — perhaps just in the nick of time.

And yet the liberal response is ‘be more liberal’. Honestly, no offence intended — but this feels genuinely delusional.

Are you aware that the consensus — even among liberals and centrists is that, over a period of decades, tens of thousands of white girls (and some Sikhs) —teenagers as young as 10 years old — have been raped and sometimes tortured by Muslim gangs, in pretty well every UK city. This is now known to have been covered-up by the police, social workers and local authorities because of fears of racism accusations: ‘Islamophobia’. This is not the ‘far right’. It is the truth grudgingly acknowledged by the liberal centre. Sweden and Germany are experiencing the same thing. There are grenade and mortar attacks in Malmo on a weekly basis.

How about the scenes from south London this weekend? Unlike in the United States, even mentioning this stuff on social media can land you a prison sentence. Intervention by members of the public is basically against the law. And in the face of such obvious societal malaise, all of the liberal public authorities in every domain insist, against all of the evidence, that diversity is our strength.

When Trafalgar Square is taken over by thousands of Muslims to assert their sovereignty over public space, what happens? The Archbishop of Canterbury invites them into our national cathedral — our Holy of Holies where Christian monarchs have been crowned for more than a thousand years.

And then of course, the political narrative that follows - quite reasonably

And if you listen to the Imams and muslim activists they are clear about their intentions which are the subjugation of European society to a Caliphate. They are not hiding this. Why do you not believe them?

Honestly, Andrew — this is the experience of a majority of working class Europeans. You haven’t enough fingers to plug the dyke and hold back the flood of political unrest that is coming. And the Trump-derangement style denial and projection will just make the correction — when it comes — even more brutal. Liberalism has no answer to this because liberals simply can’t bring themselves to see the truth that is before their eyes. Nick lives in some fancy part of London. He has never visited Rotherham. He takes taxis and doesn’t endure being under lock down in a high street shop whilst hundreds of diverse hooligans make a mockery of any idea of a British ‘we’. Andrew— go and take your 17 year old daughter to Paris or Antwerp or Berlin and see if you feel comfortable leaving her for a couple of hours. If you fancy Nice or Marseilles then make sure she has an armed chaperone. You might end up being charged with child neglect.

Both of you. You have had your social democratic governments. You have dominated the discourse and the institutions for decades. You created this problem. Seriously — what would you do to make these problems better.

I just don’t see it.
